Le fonds de prêts pour le financement de projets d’infrastructure affectés par la crise (« FP-FIC » en anglais : Infrastructure Crisis Facility – Debt Pool) géré par Cordiant fournit des lignes de crédit directes à certains projets d’infrastructure dans des économies émergentes. Le financement est disponible pour tous les projets d’infrastructure financés par des institutions financières internationales qui ne peuvent boucler leur plan de financement auprès de banques commerciales ou refinancer des prêts commerciaux existants à la suite de la crise financière mondiale et du resserrement du crédit par les banques. Le fonds de prêts FIC a été créé par la Société Financière Internationale (SFI) et développée sur la plateforme du Groupe pour le Dèveloppement d’Infrastures Privées (www.PIDG.org). Le capital de 500 millions d’euros est fourni par KfW, la banque de développement allemande, au nom de la république fédérale d’Allemagne.

Rôle de Cordiant À la suite d’un appel d’offres international, Cordiant a été choisi pour gérer des fonds octroyés par la République fédérale d’Allemagne (par l’intermédiaire de la KfW). La réserve de créances est gérée par un conseil d’administration indépendant nommé par le groupe PIDG (www.pidg.org).
Stratégie Profil de risque conservateur et diversifié. Les prêts sont octroyés en co-financement avec des institutions financières internationales et des grandes banques commerciales (dans certains pays seulement) qui agissent comme partenaire d’investissement de Cordiant.
